Strawberry Dessert Pizza
The Strawberry dessert pizza is a wonderful summer pizza and a great way to end a beautiful day with friends and family. A combination of cheeses, fresh fruit, tangy lemon, and balsamic all come together to create this masterpiece. Follow our simple procedures below and you will create one of the best tasting strawberry dessert pizzas you’ve ever had.
Serving Size for 4-8 people
- 16 oz dough
- 1 cup of ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup of mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar (more for topping the finished pizza).
- 1 tablespoon of lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Some flour for dough preparation
- Sliced strawberries to cover
- Sliced blackberries
- Roughly 2 oz of balsamic reduction
Combine 1 cup of ricotta cheese, then 1/2 cup of mascarpone cheese, then 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, then 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, then 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a bowl and mix well. Stretch out your 16 ounce dough to about fourteen inches. This will make about eight medium sized slices and will easily serve four people to eight people, but it’s so good it might only serve one. Flour a peel and then place the dough right on it. Now take the combined ingredients and cover the stretched dough.
Then bake in the oven at 700 degrees Fahrenheit until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is slightly browned. Be sure to rotate your pizza so it cooks evenly. Always check the bottom to see how its coloring too. Remove the pie from the oven and cover liberally with sliced strawberries and a few blackberries. I prefer not to cook the berries, because I like them crisp and fresh on top (and it looks beautiful too). For some added flair sprinkle powdered sugar all over the pizza, including the crust. Be generous! Then drizzle balsamic reduction back and forth, left and right across the whole pie. Now slice it into eight slices and enjoy with friends and family, if you’re willing to share.
Love life and love the Strawberry dessert pizza!
